“BEST OF ALL IN GALICIA” (8 days/7 nights)
Day 1 / Lunch at the Port - Time to rest - Wine Taste
You are on your way to a colorful and cultural adventure featuring the best of Spain. We will pick you up at the airport in Santiago de Compostela. We will head into Foz where we will check-in to a 4-star hotel with a view overlooking the sea (less than 20 yards to the beach). We will have a welcome drink while we are explaining the itinerary for the week.
Lunch will be at the port with different options. Then, we will have time to rest and walk through the Port.
Dinner will be at a high-quality restaurant with local products. We will enjoy a wine tasting in a local winery with different wines from Spain combined with different tapas that are local for each person.
Day 2 / Boat Trip Cathedrals Beach - Visit oldest cathedral in Spain 9thCentury
Breakfast with views to the sea. We will sail the Cantabrian Sea, enjoying fantastic views of the coast where we will see the Cathedrals Beach, one of the best kept secrets of Galicia. Small, vaulted caves, resembling medieval Gothic architecture, are strewn all along this section of shore.
Lunch will be provided, healthy cuisine with local ingredients, in one of the best restaurants in the coastal village. Shellfish and fish are the flagships of this restaurant.
Also, we will visit the “Basilica de San Martiño” which is considered the oldest cathedral in Spain; it was the seat of two bishops in the ninth century. Today’s dinner will be in a different restaurant with views to the coast.
Day 3 / Visit to “Viveiro” and “Loiba” - Cooking lessons with our private chef
Breakfast. Visit the Viveiro outdoor local market in the port with our chef. We will choose the fresh products for our interactive cooking lesson as we know the history of the city. All great Spanish food starts with super fresh ingredients.
After Lunch. We will stop in “Viveiro” and “Loiba”. In Loiba we found a famous bench overlooking the Atlantic. The bench is considered as “the best bench of the world” by the Ministery of Industry, Energy and Tourism. This route has a perfect combination of mountain and sea where we can connect with nature and expel the stress present day by day.
Dinner will be a surprise.
Day 4 / Visit to sargadelos museum and Lunch there - Dinner with a special taste of different Olive Oils from Spain
Breakfast. Visit to Sargadelos, for over 200 years, heritage brand Sargadelos has been producing handmade porcelain designs in Spain’s northwestern region of Galicia.
Free time to enjoy the place or go to the beach.
Day 5 / Kayaking - Free Time - Dinner
Breakfast. Then, we will begin to dive into the Ria de Foz and its coastal area where we will kayak with a guide and learn about its fauna and flora.
Lunch and Dinner will be in other great spots.
Day 6 / Private Tour in Lugo (Two cathedrals and Roman’s wall) -Travel to Santiago
After breakfast, we will be transferred to Mondoñedo, where we will visit the cathedral and have some time to stroll around the stone streets.
Then, we will come upon the Roman Walls of Lugo, declared World Heritage Site. The walls, which were erected in the 3rd century CE, make a 1.5-mile loop around the old town, rise 15m high, and are studded with 85 stout towers. Previously, at lunchtime, we will have “Polbo a Feira” one of the favorite healthy seafood dishes. We will move to Santiago to spend the night and be ready to enjoy the next day there.
Day 7 / Guide Tour Through Santiago - Visit to the Cathedral – Dinner in a “Michelin Star”
Breakfast in Santiago. A local guide will lead us along the old streets of Santiago and it’s imposing cathedral. The University, the market, and other palaces and charming corners of this Unesco‐World Heritage city will be included in this day guided tour.
We will have lunch in “Plaza do Obradoiro” one of the most beautiful and renowned squares in Spain.
Dinner will be provided in a top-class restaurant with a Michelin Star next to the Cathedral.
Day 8 / Deliver to Santiago de Compostela Airport
Our services will end, and each traveller will be awarded a gift to show that they completed the experience. We will drive you to the airport and make sure you get your next flight back home!!!
Notes:
- All breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be in different local places, so you can experience different foods all over Galicia
- Possibility to have a private photographer to enjoy the experience fully and forget about the phones (Disconnect to Reconnect).
- Some activities are subject to change depending on weather (We will have back up activities just in case)
- Airplane tickets are not included.
- Estimated tickets from Columbus, Ohio: $700-$1000 pp. to Santiago de Compostela (All transportation is included once you get into Santiago de Compostela) Pick up and deliver to the airport.
